Medical assistance sought

TIRUNELVELI: Seeking medical assistance to save their 4-month-old daughter, a poor couple from Tirunelveli Town submitted a petition to District Collector M. Jayaraman on Monday.

After Thanga Shenbagam was diagnosed of a hole in the heart, her parents P. Ganesan, a labourer, and G. Pappa submitted the petition to Mr. Jayaraman during the weekly grievance day meeting seeking medial assistance. They told the Collector that they could not afford to bear the medical expenditure as the breadwinner of the family was a labourer.

They appealed to Mr. Jayaraman to recommend their case for medical assistance being given by the State Government to save the poor patients with cardiac ailments.
