Matriculation results to be out on June 30

CUTTACK: The State Matriculation examination results would be published on June 30. This was announced by Orissa Board of Secondary Education (BSE) secretary N R Mohapatra here on Thursday.

"The results of both regular and ex-regular, including that of the Correspondent students have been tabulated and the result booklets are all printed. We are ready to publish the results on Tuesday morning at 7 am", Mr Mohapatra said. The results can also be accessed through internet and SMS, he added.

Along with Matriculation results, the results of Sanskrit stream of examinations Prathama (Class VII) and Madhyama (Class X) would be published the same day. More than four lakh students had appeared for the examinations that were held in March-April this year.

According to sources, the Board this year has decided to stop the age-old practice of declaring the "Best Tenth" students and instead release a list of top hundred ranked students. The change in practice is believed to get rid of the controversies arising in top-ten list after re-addition of marks.
