7 high schools upgraded

ERODE: State Government has upgraded seven high schools in Erode education district. According to sources in the Education Department, Government High School, Nallampatti, near Nasiyanur; Government High School, Doddampalayam, near Bhavani Sagar; Government High School, T.N. Palayam; Government High School, Ingur; Government High School, Basavannapuram; and Government High School, Kannivadi, Tirupur district, have been upgraded to higher secondary institutions.

Of the seven, the school in T.N. Palayam, is a girls' institution.

The school in Basavannapuram will benefit students from the Thalavady hills.
