Why does my FTP fail to connect?

If your FTP progam is not connecting properly, here are some possible reasons:

1. Your firewall could be blocking it.
2. Make sure you have the IP address in your welcome email for host name (only the numbers don't add ftp, www or anything else).
3. Make sure your username and password are the same as your control panel username and password.
4. Some FTP programs require a path in order to connect. Your path would be /home/YOURUSERNAME/public_html

You have to manually go to the Admin page to uninstall it.

Or go to phpmyadmin to remove the install set 1 to default theme.

actually am using Filezilla FTP client program

for connecting the account, i may use filemanager for initial configuration..in that there's five options in log on type..

* Anonymous

* Account

* Normal

* Ask for Password

* Interactive

but, i used account and make config and i dont have idea about using other setup..

could u tell the exact meaning of other  type...

* Account - Account setup using your email.  :educated

While creating FTP Accounts, we could access the ftp only with email accounts as their username for the FTP connection.

For ex, you create username for ftp as demo.

Then you have to use demo@sitename.com for logging in ftp though there is no email address called demo@sitename.com in your site.
