Sony to introduce network security cameras in late 2009

Sony has announced to launch" its security cameras in late 2009. These cameras will be "High definition" "pan-tilt -zoom IP network security.  The new SNC-RH124 and SNC-RH164 models will come up with10x optical zoom resulting in increased clarity and visibility as well as the ability to pan 360 degrees while capturing and streaming HD video are using the H.264 video compression technology at up to 30 frames per second.

New H.264 technology also has transmission and storage of digital video using less bandwidth than previous video compression solutions.

The HD PTZ cameras are designed to help the industry transit from standard-definition to high-definition operations. The ability to transmit HD video using advanced video compression signals.

Its very flexible and can be used in various industries and applications.
