THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Institute of Civil Services Examination Training Society under the aegis of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Department has invited applications from candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and other communities for admission to free coaching classes for the Civil Services Examination (preliminary and mains) to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in 2010.

Eligible Scheduled Caste candidates from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh can also apply. Candidates will take an entrance test in General Studies on the model of the UPSC preliminary examination for admission. Students who qualify in the written test will be called for an interview. Thirty candidates will be given admission. Out of the 30 seats, 60 per cent is reserved for Scheduled Castes, 30 per cent for Scheduled Tribes and 10 per cent for other castes. Ten per cent of Scheduled Caste seats are reserved for candidates from other States
