Srikakulam: The concept of E-Techno Schools launched by Narayana education group is to make the basic foundation strong so that the students will be able to effectively face the competition successfully when it comes to gaining admission in career-oriented professional courses like IIT, stated V.Venkatadri Naidu, zonal in-charge, Narayana education group.

Addressing a press conference at his chambers here on Monday in connection with the launching of E-Techno School in the district, Mr. Naidu stated that Srikakulam is one of the 10 centres in the State where E-Techno Schools had been launched in the new academic year 2009-10. Overwhelming response had been received from the parents and all the seats have been filled up well in advance, Mr. Naidu stated.

The concept of school had been devised integrating all the syllabus of ICSE, CBSE and NCERT etc.

This was to ensure that the students did not miss the best of all the courses. Asked if the number of subjects have been increased as a result of the integration of the courses, Mr. Naidu replied that the exercise did not burden the students by way of increasing the number of subjects but only boosted the quality of the syllabus.

Unlike in metro cities classes will be conducted in non-air-conditioned rooms. He said that the measure was aimed at lessening financial burden to the middle class students in the town.

The Zonal in-charge of the group stated that video-conferencing integrating students of other techno schools of the group was being done to increase interaction among the students and to give more exposure to the students.

The techno schools start from 6th standard onwards.

The group is organizing an awareness meeting on May 20 at 5pm at the local Bapujee Kala Mandir for the students and parents of the tenth class passed students for educating them on the career prospects and the course they have to take. Narayana group vice-chairman P.V.R.K.Murthy will be counselling students.
