92,864 engineering admission forms sold   

      In an overwhelming response to the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA 2009) season this year, as many as 92,864 application forms
have been sold within the first two days of its issue.

While on Thursday 28,619 application forms were sold in 58 centres established across Tamil Nadu, on the opening day a record 64,245 persons had purchased the forms.

Authorities of the Anna University (Chennai), which is the nodal agency for conducting admissions to undergraduate engineering degree courses in the State through a single window counselling, have made arrangement to print around 1.6 lakh application forms for this year. This is approximately 10% more than the 1.41 lakh applications forms that were sold last year.

The application forms can also be downloaded from the website www.annauniv.edu/tnea2009 or purchased via post as well. The forms will be available till May 30. The last date for submitting the filled up forms is May 31.
