B.Sc Lateral Entry
Meeting held on 20.12.2008 has decided on the two additional courses to be studied by the B.Sc. graduates admitted
B.E. / B.Tech. under lateral entry scheme admitted during the academic year 2008 - 2009 in III semester B.E. / B.Tech. degree programmes under regulations 2004 offered by the Affiliated Engineering Colleges.
The First course is to be studied either in their III or V semester of study and the Second course is to be studied during the IV or VI semester of their study.
Further, it is informed that these additional courses prescribed shall apply to the previous batch of B.Sc. students admitted during 2007 - 2008 who are now in V semester.
Circuit Branches are:
a. Electrical Faculty: Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
b. Information and Communication Engineering Faculty: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Biomedical Engineering.
Non-Circuit Branches are:
Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Marine Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Polymer Technology, Textile Technology, Textile Technology (Fashion Technology), Petroleum Engineering, Plastics Technology.
NOTE:
The B.Sc. students who were admitted for the academic years
2007-08 and 2008-09 and taking the above additional courses will be governed by the mark system only as they are admitted in
III semester of R-2004 Curriculum and Regulation.
