New NAS Rackmount Server Launched by iOmega

Iomega has announced the latest addition to its network solutions portfolio with the worldwide launch of the Iomega StorCenter Pro ix4-200r NAS Rackmount Server.  Powered by EMC's LifeLine operating system, the StorCenter Pro ix4-200r delivers economical file sharing, fast data throughput, cross-platform support and enterprise level features for today's small to medium businesses and remote work groups.

According to press release, The new StorCenter Pro ix4-200r provides up to 4TB of networked storage. This four-drive NAS rackmount server offers advanced features as iSCSI block-level access, multiple RAID configurations, folder quotas support, jumbo frames, Windows Active Directory support, remote access and management, IP security camera support and VMware Ready certification for virtualization installations, at a starting price of about $1,800 (Rs. 90,000 approx.) for the 2TB version and $2,800 (Rs. 1,40,100 approx.).
