University Registrar T. Venugopala Rao said in a statement on Sunday that counselling would be done from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the campus and, in case of a delay, it may be extended up to 9 p.m.

The selections will be done for seats recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The seat availability position and area-wise roaster points will be displayed on the university website and on the notice board of the university two days before the commencement of the counselling.

Physically challenged candidates must report at the university campus by 8 a.m. on that day and present themselves before the medical board constituted by the university for verification of the status of their disability based on the MCI guidelines. Only the candidates approved by the MCI would be eligible for seats reserved under PH quota.

Candidates who qualified in the post-graduate medical entrance test – 2009 held on March 6 were advised to attend the counselling with their original certificates and a demand draft for Rs. 7,600 for a seat in government medical college and Rs. 10,600 for a seat in a private medical college.

The DD should be drawn on any nationalised bank in favour of 'The Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Science' payable at Vijayawada.
