Three-day refresher training camp starts today

TIRUCHI: The school education department will commence its State-level three-day refresher training camp, focussing on the importance of teaching of theory component in physical education for students, on April 16. In a press release, Chief Educational Officer K. Swaminathan said that the over 100 participants of the programme will comprise two physical education teachers each from the 30 revenue districts, and about 40 Physical Directors and Regional Inspectors of physical education. The programme has been planned as per the directive of the Directorate of School Education. The Chief Inspector of Physical Education and 20 experts will orient the participants to the methodologies of disseminating physical education theory during the camp at the Bishop Heber Higher Secondary School, Teppakulam.

The participants will be vested with the responsibility of transferring the benefit of the training to the rest of the physical education teachers in their respective districts.
