Elektrobit Satellite Cellular Hybrid Phone

Elektrobit let loose at the recently concluded CTIA '09 show in Las Vegas by announcing their work on the first satellite-cellular hybrid phone (aka "Satellite-Terrestrial Device") in the world which ought to see action before the year is by, assuming all goes according to plan.

Currently, majority of satellite phones are monstrous in size when you compare it to the svelte handsets of today, but Elektrobit aims to offer something more mainstream by removing the external antenna while shrinking down its size. Other features include :-

    * Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional
    * GPS navigation support
    * Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity

Quadband GSM/EDGE and Dual-band North American 3G

Terrestar 2.2 GHz
