NIT- MCA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (NIMCET09)

National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are premier Technical Institutes of National importance and fully funded by Government of India. The NIMCET is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by NITs for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program offered by the NITs located at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirapalli and Warangal. This year NIMCET09 is being conducted by MNNIT, Allahabad. The admission to MCA program offered by these NITs for the year 2009-10 will be based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET09 only. The test will be held for a duration of Two hours and will consist of objective type questions on Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. The examination fee is Rs. 700/- for Open Category/OBC and Rs. 350/- for SC/ST category candidates. Detailed syllabus for the test, eligibility criteria, number of seats and other details are made available on the websites of participating NITs. Candidate can apply online ONLY at www.nimcet09.mnnit.ac.in from February 23, 2009 to March 27, 2009. The last date for receipt of the print out of filled in application form along with the required documents is April 6, 2009 and the Test will be on 17th May 2009.
