Calicut University offers MBA programme

Kozhikode: The Department of Commerce and Management Studies of Calicut University has invited applications for its two-year (four-semester) Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme and at four self-financing centres at Kozhikode, Palakkad, Thrissur and Vadakara.

The MBA programme on the campus is under the Choice-Based Credit Semester System (CCSS). The requisite qualification is a bachelor's degree in any subject with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate, including languages. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be given relaxation on marks.

Candidates awaiting their degree results may also apply. However, they should produce their original degree mark lists before the last date for registration of their first semester MBA examinations. Selection is based on entrance test to be held at Kozhikode, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur. There will be group discussion and personal interview.

The application form can be had from the Head of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Calicut University, Malappuram - 673 635 or from the university centres after paying a fee of Rs.500 (Rs.167 for SC/STs). Applications can also be had by post by requesting it from the Head of the Department along with a self addressed, Rs.15 stamped envelope (26cmx 15cm) with a crossed demand draft for Rs.500 (Rs.167 for SC/ST students if community certificate is submitted), drawn in favour of 'The Finance Officer, Calicut University, payable at State Bank of Travancore, Calicut University Branch/chalan for Rs.500 (Rs.167 for SC/ST), remitted to the Calicut University Fund at the University cash counter at the Pareeksha Bhavan.

The last date for issue of application and receipt of filled up applications at the Department of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Calicut is April 30.
