ICSI programmes

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) imparts education primarily through distance learning to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The institute working under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs is headquartered at New Delhi with regional offices at Mumbai, Kolkata, Noida and Chennai and 69 chapters along with 68 examination centres in various cities all across India. With nearly 1. 5 lac students on the roll, ICSI exams are held twice a year in June and December. There are three stages to be pursued to qualify as a Company Secretary: Foundation Programme for 10+2 pass students; Executive programme for graduates and Professional programme. Thereafter, students are required to undergo practical and modular training to become qualified Company Secretaries.
