For management aspirants, the road to an MBA degree does not entail just one MBA entrance exam. Vinayak Kudva lists the biggest and most competitive MBA entrance exams



    To ace a test, one must first know what to expect from it. Here, some of the most critical MBA entrance tests have been presented in their latest formats. However, they are in no way indicative or predictive of the tests for the coming year. The formats have been presented here to make you aware of what the tests comprise. Any other aptitude test that you are likely to take, will be a combination of some or all the sections in the formats given below:

WHAT DO B-SCHOOL TESTS ASSESS?

Quantitative Ability
Quantitative problems test one's reasoning ability based on mathematical skills. It also tests the comprehension of basic mathematical concepts.

Verbal ability
Verbal Ability tests the ability to understand and comprehend written English. This section tests the ability to understand, analyse and apply the given information and arrive at the correct answer using the relevant concepts.

General awareness and Business awareness
Understanding the environment and possessing knowledge about political, socioeconomic and business scenario is another important parameter in selecting students.
    Though Group Discussion and Personal Interviews test a candidate's knowledge of the same aspects; institutes like FMS, IIFT, SNAP, MAT assess these areas in the entrance test as well.
