Bullish on the Indian market, world's largest business process outsourcing firm Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) today said it will hire about 300 people for its new facility in Noida, which would eventually be ramped to 500 over the next 12-18 months.

The company also plans to invest $50 million in its HR management solutions vertical.

"Our Noida facility is ready and we would have about 300 people working in the facility. The total number will be taken to 500 over the next 12-18 months depending on the demand," ACS Executive Managing Director (HCMS-TBO) Rohail Khan told reporters here.

The firm has offices in Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai and with this new facility, its total employee headcount is now around 5,000 in India, he added.

ACS is also looking at opening another unit in Gurgaon.

"The facility at Gurgaon would depend on the volume of business we get," he said without divulging further details.

ACS, which offers IT and BPO services across various verticals, is looking at expanding its client base for its Human Capital Management solutions.

"The market for HR management solutions is growing at a compounded rate of about 17-19 per cent and is estimated to be about $20 billion. We are actively pursuing this segment as this is still an untapped market," Khan said.
