We used to hear ceylon radio in night times (only) why you know..that
we can only hear in night times only

thats all because of ionosphere in the surface
how ? Ill say
see this ionosphere is filled with ions and this thing acts like a
reflector when climate s cool thats night time
when the climate s hot this ionosphere gets heated and this ions get
heated and splits into molecules and scatter here and there
and through these gaps the transmitted radio signals passes to the outer space
when its night these molecules again forms to ions and acts like
reflectors and maximum percentage of signal s passed reflected to the
earth  thats why we hear the srilankan radio channel in tamil nadu
