IGNOU plans training centre in Orissa

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to start a vocational education and training centre for the grassroots locals in the Kandhamal district of Orissa. The district is often in the news for acute unemployment, poverty and rebellious activities of the underprivileged and disadvantaged people. The centre will be named IGNOU Institute of Vocational and Educational Training and will train local talent for gainful employment.
