BPO firm Sitel has signed a $30 million three-year contract with an undisclosed global travel management company to manage its overseas customer care services.

The deal will create about 300 jobs in India, Morocco, Singapore and the Philippines providing customer support for online reservations, business-to-business, customer care, sales, services and back-office operations in English, French, and Mandarin.

Sitel said they were selected by the new client for their ability to standardize operations, improve processes and increase efficiencies across five international brands.

"We are pleased to further grow Sitel's travel and tourism portfolio with one of the world's preeminent Internet travel brands," said David Garner, chief executive officer and president of Sitel.

Sitel currently employs 60,000 associates in 27 countries and provides solutions from on-shore, nearshore and offshore locations across 155-plus facilities throughout North America, South America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
