PUDUCHERRY: Ten students from a catering school in France will visit Puducherry to discover the cuisine of the country. The students will be in the coastal town from February 2 to February 11.

According to a release, the students from a French catering school at Peyregoux, Tarn district of France, have planned for the trip to Puducherry to discover Indian recipes. They have been sponsored by Solidarite, a French non-governmental organisation which supports social projects across the country with the help of Fondation de France and French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Visits to the catering institutes, restaurants and much more would be part of their trip. The Director of Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology has invited the students for a day-long interaction with Indian students and professors on February 5, said the release.

An interaction with a writer who had penned a book on traditional recipes, and a visit to Lycee Francais, a French school here, would be part of their itinerary. The students would visit the best restaurants in Puducherry including Hotel Atithi, Calve, Hotel du Parc and Promenade to exchange recipes with the Indian teams.

At the end of their trip, the students would present a dinner, invited by the French Consulate, to introduce French specialities, added the release.
