Answer question No:1 and any other Five questions
Question No:1 carries 25 marks and all other questions carry 15 marks each.

1. a) Define Research Design. Examine the scope of experimental design and its applicability to social science research.

b) Examine the contribution of socio-legal research in solving complex socio-economic problems.

2. Define hypothesis and also explain the various sources of hypothesis.

3. What is a research problem? How a research problem is selected?

4. Discuss the merits and demerits of sampling techniques.

5. Examine the scope of observation as an universally acceptable tool of research.

6. Distinguish between theoretical and empirical research and their relevance in social science research.

7. Explain the scope of questionnaire method in the collection of information in socio-legal research.

8. Examine the various steps involved in the preparation of research report.

9. "Interview schedule is used for testing as well as collecting data relating to a research problems" Discuss.

10. Write short notes on any two of the following:

a) Census method
b) Participant observation
c) Random sampling
d) Tabulation of data.
