SanDisk launches highest capacity 32GB microSD

The popular flash memory devices maker SanDisk has announced the highest capacity 32GB microSD card in the market. Before that, the maximum memory microSD card that users could buy was 16GB.

The card is expected to cost over Rs. 9,000 ($200) which seems quite expensive. Buy it if you have enough money or you can wait until the price drops as the competition is very high and it won't take too long price to get reduced.

As 16GB version of the card costs around Rs. 2,000 ($50), I feel it's enough memory to use in phones. And there are very few handsets which support that much amount of money.

As microSD cards have become common nowadays in the competetive world, the price is expected to fall very steeply in the months to come.

A 32GB memory card for a phone in this age seems to be more than sufficient considering most devices that will support these cards will come with huge internal memories as well. Case in point is the Nokia N97, which boast of 32GB of internal memory. Add a 32GB microSD card to tit and the phone can hold 64GB of data!
