Skill development camp for students

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Council for Child Welfare will hold a `Sahavasa Camp' at its Thycaud office from December 30 to January 4, focussing on the skill development of children belonging to Scheduled Tribe communities.

As many as 210 students studying in Class VII, VIII and IX from across the State are expected to attend the camp.

The students will be given classes in various non-curriculum topics such as children's rights, handicrafts, theatre and music.

The students will also be taken on study tours to various locations of academic and tourist significance in Thiruvanantharpuram and Kanyakumari districts.

Cultural programmes, including music concerts and magic shows, will be arranged every evening during the camp.
