Spot payment date: The spot payment camp for remitting fee for revaluation of first year degree examination at the St. Thomas College, Thrissur, has been postponed from December 29 to January 6, 2009.

Practical examination:
The M.Sc. Clinical Psychology second semester practical examination will be held at the Puthukkad Prajyothi Niketan College from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on December 30, 31.

Examination results: The results of the fourth semester M.S.W. and M.Sc. Physics held in September and the second semester M.S.W. examination held in August have been published.

The results have also been posted on the website.

The last date to submit applications for revaluation, scrutiny and obtaining copies of answer scripts for M.S.W. is January 5. it is January 8 for M.Sc. Physics.

Examinations:
The third year B.Pharm. degree supplementary examination will begin on January 21. The last date for submitting applications for second and sixth semester B.Sc. printing technology (regular/supplementary) examinations is January 6. The second semester examinations will begin on January 21 and sixth semester examinations on January 22.

Seat vacant: A few seats in the B.Ed. course in Malayalam and commerce are vacant at the Teacher Education Centre of the university. Those interested should reach the office of the Director of Department of Education at 10.30 a.m. on December 27.

M.Com. results: The results of the second semester M.Com. examinations have been published. The results have been posted on the university web site. The last date for submitting applications for revaluation, scrutiny and obtaining copies of answer scripts is January 13.

B.Arch. examination: The sixth semester B.Arch. (2004 admission) examination will begin on January 27.

B.A.M.S. examination: The second professional B.A.M.S. regular/supplementary examinations will begin on January 28.

Chemistry Practical: The second-year Chemistry subsidiary practical examination will begin at various centres on January 28. The detailed timetable has been notified at the centres.

Online registration: Students of the first-year B.A./ B.Sc. B.Com. B.B.A. of the School of Distance Education can register for the first-year examination online. The university will not distribute registration forms.

Afsal-ul-Ulama hall tickets: The distribution of hall tickets for the second year BA Afsal-ul-Ulama supplementary (part I and II) examination began at the examination centres on Monday.

The examination will begin on January 21.

Physics practical: The second year B.Sc. physics subsidiary practical examination will begin on January 27. The detailed time-table has been notified at the examination centres.

Rank-list: K.M. Mimi (St. Mary's College, Thrissur), K.M. Chitra and K. Reyja Menon (Sree C. Achuthan Menon Government College, Thrissur) have secured the first, second and third ranks in the MA history examination held in September.

Exam postponed: The first semester M.A. examination (CSS) — 'Indian Government and Politics' —scheduled at the department of politics at Kariavattom on January 30 has been postponed to February 9.

MBA examinations: Applications for the first semester MBA Travel and Tourism (2008 admissions) scheduled to begin on February 25 can be submitted without fine till February 10, with a fine of Rs.50 till February 13 and with a fine of Rs.250 till February 17. In addition to the regular examination fee, students should pay Rs.200 as fee for the centralised valuation camp.

BASLP results: The results of the third year BASLP examinations held in May 2008 have been published. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till February 24.

M.Sc. Nursing results: The results of the fourth semester M.Sc. Nursing examinations held in December 2008 have been published. Applications for scrutiny can be submitted till February 11.

Examination centres: The third year BCA / B.Sc. Computer Science examinations (Institute of Distance Education, annual scheme) beginning February 7 will be held at Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram; FMN College, Kollam; SD College, Alappuzha; Government Model Higher Secondary School for Boys, Thrissur; Government Higher Secondary School, Parayancheri, Kozhikode and at the Chowa Higher Secondary School, Kannur. Students who opted for Sanskrit College, Thiruvananthapuram, as the centre should write the examinations at Mar Ivanios College and those who opted for a centre in Ernakulam should write the examinations at Government Higher Secondary School for Boys, Thrissur.

Gandhi memorial meeting: Under the aegis of the Centre for Gandhian Studies of the university a 'Gandhi Smrithi Sammelanam' and a seminar on Gandhiji will be held from January 30 to February 3. Public Works Minister Mons Joseph will inaugurate the Gandhi memorial meeting to be held at the Gandhi Park at East Fort. These programmes are being organised in connection with the 61st anniversary of Gandhiji's martyrdom. There will also be all-religion prayer meetings, cultural programmes and public discourses in connection with this event. A photo exhibition on Gandhiji and a Gandhi cultural festival will be held till February 3 at the VJT Hall.

Colleges with Potential for Excellence: Affiliated colleges can submit applications for the Colleges with Potential for Excellence (C.P.E.), a project by the UGC. Those who had submitted applications before can apply for the project again. Applications should be submitted to the Director, College Development Council, Calicut University.

B. Psych Examinations postponed: The final year B. Psych examination paper 'Intervention: Therapeutic techniques and counselling skills' that was scheduled to be held on February 16 has been postponed to February 28.

First year examination registration: The last date to submit applications for registration for first year B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.A. Arabic special option, B.A (P.O.T), B.A. Asfal Ul-Ulama degree examinations online with a fine of Rs. 625 apart from normal fees is February 28.

B.Com centre: Students who have opted for Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram, as the centre for the second-year B.Com examinations should write the examinations at the centres indicated below.

The register numbers and the centre are given in that order: 36602-137000, 321260, 316235, 317222, 316864,766086, 136044, 149244, 276024 and 280121 – Government Arts College; 1370001-137150 - University College, Thiruvananthapuram; 137151-137306 - National College, Manacaud; 137307- 137399 - St. Xavier's College, Thumba. The hall tickets can be had from Government Arts College.

B.Tech examinations: Applications for the eighth semester B.Tech examinations beginning May 22, the sixth semester examinations beginning May 20 and the fourth semester examinations beginning May 28 can be submitted without fine till April 8, with a fine of Rs.50 till April 20 and with a fine of Rs.250 till April 22.

Students should remit a centralised valuation camp fee of Rs.200 in addition to their regular examination fee. The date for submitting applications for the supplementary examinations will be notified along with the publication of the results of these examinations.

LLB results: The results of the second semester, three-year LLB examinations and the sixth semester, five-year examinations held in October 2008 have been declared. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till May 6.

B.Sc results: The results of the second semester B.Sc Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry (restructured) examinations held in July 2008 have been declared. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till April 24.

The results of the second semester B.Sc Hotel Management and Catering Science and Physics and Optical Instrumentation (restructured) examinations have also been declared.

V.K.R.V. Rao Award: Applications have been invited for the V.K.R.V. Rao award instituted by the Indian Council for Social Science Research and the Institute For Social and Economic Change. Details about this award given to the best research work on social sciences can be had from the website www.isec.ac.in.

University of Kerala

B.A. Malayalam: The valuation camp for answer sheets of the B.A. Malayalam part three main examinations conducted in March 2009 will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam Alappuzha and Pandalam from April 20.

Valuation camp: Teachers who have received intimation to take part in the Kerala University first semester postgraduates examination valuation camp are requested to attend the camps and complete the valuation work on time. Those teachers who have received orders to attend the valuation camp for final-year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. examinations have been asked to attend these camps on the days when they do not have PG valuation. University authorities have informed that action would be taken against teachers who fail to attend the camp.

Vacation classes: The vacation conducted by Kerala University Continuing Education Centre for students who have taken their Class X and XII examinations this year will commence on April 6. Training will be given in personality development, English language communication, current affairs, career guidance and counselling.

M.A. Sanskrit results: Results of the first semester M.A. Sanskrit literature (special) examination held in January and first semester M.A. Sanskrit (general) supplementary examination have been published. The results have been posted on the web site.

M.A. Hindi results: Results of M.A. Hindi final examinations held in April 2008 and M.A. Hindi previous supplementary examinations have been published (available on university web site).
