Quantum of Solace Bond Movie Has Gone Digital in a New Videogame

At the beginning of this month, James Bond fans were served another 007 dish, when the 22nd installment of the Bond movies franchise "Quantum of Solace" opened in the United States on November 14.

Even though "Solace" did not manage to thoroughly live up to the Bond name, the producers having apparently chosen to fall into the old patterns of "Removed Royale," the movie has also gone digital, with a "Quantum of Solace" videogame having been released in North America on November 4.

So James Bond has returned to save the world yet again. As promised at the end of each and every movie released so far.

007 Quantum of Solace presents itself as a first-person shooter videogame in which a digitised Daniel Craig, who portrays James Bond in the ,,Solace" movie, follows the beaten path of the storyline that was drawn for the production.

In addition, the videogame calls forth, via several of its levels, flashbacks of the 2006 ,,Casion Royale" Bond movie, the first one that starred actor Daniel Craig in the leading role of the 007 agent.

Packed full with shoot outs, while James Bond's missions unfurl, the videogame also features some spy puzzles and challenges, along with some hand-to-hand combat, given that the ,,Quantum of Solace" Bond is quite into punching his enemies, rather than taking them down by using his state-of-the-art gadgets. This lack of 007's trademarks from the ,,Solace" movie, which deprives Bond of both his martinis and his famous line ,,Bond. James Bond," has come into much criticism from reviewers when the film opened.

,,Quantum of Solace" videogame was developed by four companies, Treyarch, Eurocom, Beenox and Vicarious Visions and it is powered by a Call of Duty 4 game engine, while the title is the first James Bond one released by Activision.
