Merit-cum-Means Based Scholarship for Students belongings to Minority Communities

Objective of the Scheme:
The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities(Muslims,Christains etc) to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.

Scope of the Scheme:
The scholarships for minority communities are available for studies in India only and will be awarded through an Agency designated by the State Government/UT Administration for this purpose.

Important Dates:
Last Date to submit the application form is October 31,2008.
Submission of Scutinised Application forms by the Institute to Nodal Officer is November 10,2008

1.Engineering & Technology Courses (B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech.)
2.Cement Technology
3.Fashion Technology (Degree from National Institute of Fashion Technology)
4.Management Courses (PGDM,PGCM,MBA)
5.Pharmacy (B.Pharm,D.pharm)
6.Architecture & Town Planning (Under Graduate and Post Graduate level course)
7.Hotel Management & Catering Technology (Under Graduate and Post Graduate level courses only)
8.Applied Arts & Crafts (Under Graduate and Post Graduate level
courses only)
9.Design (Degree from National Institute of Design, Ahamdabad)
10.Medical & Para Medical courses
11.Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry
12.Chartered Accountancy/Institute of Cost and Work Accountancy/Company Secretary
13.Law

Eligibility :
Above 50% of marks is scored in +2.
The candidate should not apply for any other scholarships.
The family annual income should be below 2.5 lakhs.
