Lady Meherbai D Tata Scholarships

The Lady Meherbai D Tata Scholarships are awarded by the Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust. The Trust was set up in the year 1932, by Sir Dorabji Tata, in the name of his deceased wife, Lady Meherbai Tata. This scholarship in social sciences aim to provide financial assistance to those women who wish to pursue higher studies and research work in social sciences abroad.
The Lady Meherbai D Tata Scholarships for higher studies abroad are given for acquiring a Ph.D degree in the following subjects:

    * Social Work
    * Child Health & Welfare
    * Health & Empowerment of Women
    * Women's studies
    * Health Planning and Education
    * Public/Community Health
    * Rural Organization Work
    * Education and Welfare of Children with Special Needs

Eligibility Criteria for the Lady Meherbai D Tata Scholarships:

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Lady Meherbai Tata Scholarships:

    * Applicants should be women, who have already acquired a bachelor's degree and have performed well in their career so far.
    * Applicants should have applied for admission or have got admitted in an university abroad
    * Candidate should be an Indian national

Application procedure for Lady Meherbai D Tata Scholarships:

Candidates who comply with the eligibility requirements can obtain their forms from the Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust, Bombay House, Homi Mody Street, Mumbai 400 001. Duly filled in application forms should reach the Trust office within the last date specified in the notification.

Notification :

The applications for scholarships are normally called for by the Lady Meherbai Trust either during the month of April or May.
