NIA attaches property of man arrested for part of conspiracy to establish Islamic caliphate in India

The National Investigation Agency attached property belonging to an accused individual arrested in connection with a conspiracy to establish an Islamic caliphate in India. The property in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, was allegedly used by the banned Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization since 2015 for clandestine indoctrination and recruitment activities. The accused conducted secret classes, radicalization sessions, and exhibitions showcasing military strength of Islamic nations. The attachment was made under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in a case involving conspiracy to promote the organization's ideology and overthrow India's democratically elected government through radicalization of youth.
