I've already decided that I'm getting a boa constrictor as my next pet. I'm super excited about it.

I ended up going with Cubaris isopods for something low-maintenance and kind of cool to watch. They're super easy to care for if you've got a good setup with the right humidity, and they mostly take care of themselves. I like how they kind of roam around and hide—makes it fun to check in on them without a big commitment like a larger pet.
