can anyone please let me know whether it's safe to eat some microwave popcorn?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be safe, but I personally don't like the taste of microwave popcorn. But if you're really craving it, though, it should be fine to have some. If you ever want to enjoy freshly popped popcorn without the microwave, you could look into a popcorn machine rental. It's a fun way to make popcorn for events, and it tastes way better than the microwave stuff.
