Ozone generator questions

Have to rent a ozone generator today. MIL's condo was completely repainted after she passed away. But realtor getting lots of bad feedback about cigarette smell.

Never used one before.

700 sq ft one bedroom vacant/empty unit

Curious how long do these need to work?

Do I need a day or a week?

there on the island everyone rips out all the carpeting before listing. i doubt that ozone will save you. viewed one house with cigarettes and cat urine, couldnt get out of there fast enough.
