Job alert: Accenture is hiring for more than 3000 positions in India

The COVID-19 pandemic has an adverse effect on the global economy but IT hiring seems to be recovering. American IT services major, Accenture is hiring for 3,000 positions in India.

The pandemic has led to new demand in digital transformation and security services. Companies around the world are going digital to ensure business continuity. IT services firm, Accenture has said in an internal meeting that the company plans to hire 3,000 new employees in India.

Out of the 5 lakh global headcount, Accenture has 2 lakh employees in India. During the lockdown, Accenture had announced layoffs of 5% of its workforce, axing 25,000 jobs.

Out of the 3,366 job openings in India, a large portion is for the tech-based job roles. Almost 300 openings are for professionals with core tech skills. 68 roles are in data and analytics space, which includes hiring data scientists, data engineers, digital marketing analytics, social media analytics.

Cloud computing is another most in-demand field. Accenture is hiring 360 professionals in areas like cloud computing, infrastructure and network security. The tech firm also has 200 open roles for project and delivery managers. Rest of the openings are for sales, finance, accounting and human resource positions. The roles that have the highest demand in Accenture are DevOps, Python, Full Stack developer and cloud engineer.

The official Accenture jobs site does not disclose the salary. However, a qualified engineer can command between Rs 10 to 15 lakh per annum. The tech firm has missed estimates and reported lower growth. It has registered revenue of $44 billion. Out of which digital, cloud, and security account for 70% of the total revenue.
