The Intelligence Bureau (IB) (Devanāgarī: खूफिया ब्यूरो, Khüfīya Bureau) is India's internal intelligence agency and reputedly the world's oldest intelligence agency.[1] It was recast as the Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947 under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The reason for the perception may be because, in 1885, Major General Sir Charles MacGregor was appointed Quartermaster General and head of the Intelligence Department for the British Indian Army at Simla. The objective then was to monitor Russian troop deployments in Afghanistan, fearing a Russian invasion of British India through the North-West during the late 19th century.
Job Details:

1. Deputy Central Intelligence Officer : 47 posts.

2. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer : 187 posts.

3. Junior Intelligence Officer : 122 posts.

4. Security Assistant : 71 posts.

Pay Scale:

1. DCIO : Rs 15,600-39, 100 + Grade Pay Rs 5400.
2. ACIO : Rs 9,300-34, 800 + Grade Pay Rs 4600.
3. JIO : Rs 5,200-20, 200 + Grade Pay Rs 2400.

4. Security Assistant : Rs 5,200-20, 200 + Grade Pay Rs 2400.
Eligibility Conditions:

The candidates should at least possess a Bachelor's degree and should have adequate knowledge in basic computer skill.

Age:

Candidates age should be between 18 yrs to 30 yrs.
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates.
