IAS Preparation 2013- IAS is a dream job for many of the aspirants who wants to serve for their country. Becoming an IAS officer requires preparation and hardwork of many months as a student has to go through a tough selection procedure consisting of written exam and interviews. Many aspirants face lots of confusion about the exact nature of questions that will be asked in IAS examination.

IAS Examination comprises of two successive stages:
1. Preliminary Examination, which is also known as CSAT (Civil services aptitude test) and consists of objective type questions. CSAT is also the qualifying examination for getting into Mains examination.
2. Main Examination: This stage consists of written examination followed by interview.
Both of the written exams are of 3 hours duration.
