IP University announces schedule for second counselling

New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Kashmere Gate has announced the schedule for the Second Counselling of its most of the academic programmes (covered under Admission Brochure-I) including MBA, BBA, BCA, B.A. LL.B/ BBA LL.B, Master of Mass Media, B. Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, Master of Physiotherapy (Neurology/ Musculoskeletal), Master of Occupational Therapy (Neurology/ Musculoskeletal), Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Pharmacy, LL.M., B. Ed., BJMC, MA (English & Communication Studies), Lateral Entry to B. Pharmacy, BHMCT, MCA/ MCA (Software Engineering) and M. Sc. (Environment Management).

The detailed counselling schedule can be accessed on the University website www.ipu.ac.in.

The Second Counselling for 2008-09 academic session, will commence on 8th August, 2008 with the counselling of MA (English & Communication Studies) programme.

The counselling for rest of the above mentioned courses will start on subsequent days.

The counselling for all categories/ courses will commence from rank one onwards and the seats will be allotted strictly on the basis of merit of the candidates.

Such candidates, who were absent in the First Counselling will also be permitted to attend the Second Counselling.

A candidate who fails to appear in person on the notified date and time for counselling, shall forfeit his/ her claim for the seat, which could be offered on his/ her turn.

However, if the candidate reports late or reports on subsequent days during the process of counselling, he/ she may be considered for allotment of a seat available at that point of time provided he/ she had not taken admission earlier.

Candidates who got admission in the First Counselling, are also advised to attend Second Counselling if they wish to change the programme/ institute included within the ambit of same test code, on the basis of their merit against the available vacant seat, after depositing an additional sum of Rs.5000 in the form of a fresh Demand Draft in favour of 'Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University', payable at Delhi.

The University is likely to add 180 seats in MBA (part-time), 120 seats in BCA (evening shift) and 100 seats in BBA (evening shift) programmes.
