IT Wiz, a quiz on IT

R Sai Krishnan and K Swarun Krishna of PSBB K K Nagar school bagged a laptop each, at the TCS IT Wiz 2008 Chennai edition, held at the Music Academy recently. More than 1400 students in the city participated in the quiz.

Six teams comprising of students from SBOA Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, PSBB and Bhavan‘s Rajaji Vidyashram, competed with each other for the trophy. While, PSBB won the IT Wiz, the team from Vidya Mandir were the runners-up.

Prizes were distributed by former Indian cricketer, V B Chandrasekhar and K Ananth Krishnan, VP and Chief Technology Officer, TCS. The hall was packed with quiz enthusiasts, who saw some brilliant quizzing by the quiz master, Giri Balasubramaniam.

The award for the 'Best Cheering team' was presented to Valliammal Matriclation Higher Secondary School by S Chandrasekar, the youngest MTech graduate from IIT Madras. The TCS IT Wiz, which strives to enhance IT awareness among students, was open to school students from Class 8-12.
