The Reel Life
« on: August 02, 2009, 11:11:25 AM »
The Reel Life is always looking for ways to make a little extra dough to support our online slots lifestyle. But we would never try to make crime our side business. That can get a bit ridiculous –- and dangerous -- , as a South Carolina man recently found out.

According to The Sun News, an employee at a Japanese steakhouse told police that he used a meat cleaver to fend off a would-be robber who was wearing a gorilla suit.

The employee was putting out the trash just before closing time when the costumed robber struck him on the back of the head. The employee ran into the restaurant after the robber, who was making a beeline towards the cash register.

The employee then picked up a meat cleaver and hit the gorilla in the arm.

The Sun News says that "the (employee) said the attacker then ran out of the business with the cleaver stuck in the suit."

No money was taken during the attempted robbery. Police have made no arrests.

The Reel Life applauds the bravery of the employee. The last thing this world needs is men in gorilla costumes running wild.
